360° Virtual Kitchen

Pampered Chef

Pampered Chef's sales model depended on in-person kitchen parties. When those stopped, Theia built a 360-degree virtual kitchen that let consultants demo products, run events, and close sales from a browser.

Pampered Chef built its business on in-home kitchen parties where consultants demo products, share recipes, and sign up new sellers. When the pandemic made that impossible, they needed a digital alternative that could replicate the feel of being in a kitchen together, not just a video call with a product catalog.

Social media platforms didn't work. The format wasn't built for interactive product demos, and it couldn't recreate the warmth of standing in someone's kitchen picking up a tool and trying it.

What Theia built

A 360-degree virtual kitchen that runs in a web browser. Consultants host events inside the kitchen, where guests can explore interactive 3D models of every product, watch recipe videos, and browse the catalog without leaving the experience.

Theia had already built digital kitchens for other clients, so the visual quality bar was established. The environment looks like a real kitchen, not a video game level. That distinction mattered to Pampered Chef's consultant network, who needed guests to feel comfortable and engaged, not distracted by the technology.

Features added after launch

During the pilot, consultants asked for a way to guide first-time visitors through the space. Theia built a tour guide feature that walks guests through the kitchen and explains how to navigate.

A gamification layer was added later: guests search for a hidden golden spoon, then answer a series of questions to unlock rewards. Consultants started using it as an icebreaker during events, and guests came back to try again.

Outcome

The Virtual Kitchen gave Pampered Chef's consultant network a sales tool that works from anywhere. Consultants report that the environment feels realistic enough that guests engage with it the way they would in a real kitchen. The platform continues to get updates as Pampered Chef adds new products and event formats.

The Theia team came in with a robust plan with clear outcomes and expectations. The project manager was on-point in terms of communicating about the deliverables and deadlines and managed all of it effectively.
